What is InfoLister?

InfoLister is an extension for Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, Nvu, and Sunbird that collects various information about the host application and saves it to a file. Currently it prints the list of installed extensions, themes, and plugins.

Install InfoLister 0.9f.2 (works in Firefox and Thunderbird 1.5 and 2, Sunbird 0.7 and later)

Also available from addons.mozilla.org. You can read the changelog to see the list of changes between the versions.

After installation, access InfoLister via the Tools menu.

Features:

Lists installed extensions, themes, and plugins.
HTML, plain text, BBCode, XML, and custom output.
FTP upload (help).
Quick access: menu item (Tools > InfoLister), toolbar button, or about:info in the Location Bar.

Example output: HTML, plain text, XML (styled with XSLT+CSS).

Sample XSLT transforms: to XHTML, to text, to BBCode.

FAQ

Q: Will you add support for the Mozilla Suite / SeaMonkey?

A: Probably no. The Mozilla Suite uses different technology to store its extensions/themes lists, so making InfoLister support the Suite is not a two-line fix. Additionally, having yet another application to support increases the time spent on testing. I don't think it's worth the effort.
Q: Will you add support for listing search engines, GreaseMonkey scripts, etc?

A: I haven't been working actively on InfoLister for a while. When/if I start developing it again, these items will be on the to-do list. Patches are always welcome, though!
